Billie Global Headquarters

In our second collaboration with Billie, a women-first razor company, we developed a global headquarters for a team of 100. To create an office that expressed the Billie brand without heavy-handedness, the studio took a material-driven approach across working zones: an all-hands space, a library, conference rooms, desking, and a product demonstration area. We subverted traditional “masculine” interpretations of raw, architectural materials throughout and applied warm, textural accents. The studio pared back the interior to reveal more of the building’s original character, including its generous windows, which fill the interior with natural light. A curved glass-block wall defines a conference room, letting light filter in. The library—a place for immersion in research—holds lounge furniture for extended work sessions, and in a storage alcove, we applied peach limewash for texture. Throughout the site, we developed custom furnishings that support different postures: Collaborative meetings take place among banquettes in the all-hands space, which contains light-toned wood finishes, and staffers can take standups at tall, peanut-shaped tables in the central office. Together, these elements create a workplace that is thoroughly Billie, without falling into cliche.
