Windsor Terrace Residence

A young couple commissioned our studio to design a high-impact residence that was conducive to hosting and maximized the home’s footprint. Removing a wall between the kitchen and living room, we increased points of sociability and connection in the central gathering space. In doing so, we exposed a structural column, which became a feature in its own right. Now wrapped in the same stainless steel that is found in the living room, it anchors open overhead shelving to become a place where the couple can display treasures collected from travel. Throughout the home, tactile craft details balance with industrial elements. Hardware and custom touches—such as the perforated console we created using Mutina Bloc and an oak top—invite engagement. Bathrooms are expressive and vibrant, using bold, textural tile that varies from room to room.
