Clinton Hill Residence

Equally theatrical and utilitarian, our new Clinton Hill Residence is designed as a backdrop for the rituals of daily life. Conceived as a sequence of moods, we used a mix of lighting, rich materials, form, and detail to bring warmth and softness to an otherwise typical townhouse layout.

At the heart of the home, a custom banquette wraps the dining alcove, anchoring the living and dining areas and creating a natural place to gather, while layers of low, atmospheric lighting shift the character of the space throughout the day. The design balances practical function with moments of drama, making the home theatrical and utilitarian in equal measure.
